a gif for every note
Strange instruments for a eurorack case.
Each one has a page where you can see it, hear it and play it.
a gif for every note
never comes back the same
a cable is a dam
the bees know the tune
a ghost on the radio
a boredom detector
a voice you play by the syllable
a clock for a whole set
a double of you
something's in the patch
a swarm that finds its beat
save it up, spend it all
you can't patch the future
watch over a warren
a filter you punch holes in
a pitch you fly
three judges that vote
is anybody there?
what was that noise?
an echo that grows antlers
keeps what hurts
roll it all up
endless rise
the power line sings
a string section on one note
reverb in reverse
hears a bar ahead
a kit that goes off
keep time and it comes
it becomes what it hears
four ghosts give chase
something got in
a bass that's an engine
carry them off
a loop that catches something
everyone knows their place
Every module on this page, in one plugin for VCV Rack 2, free. Each is the module itself, not a copy of it: its own firmware runs it, and the panel is the real one, lit by the engine. Two more come only in Rack: TELLY, a TV for GIF GIF GIF, and BLOWER, a phone for TRUNK CALL.
In Rack, choose Help, then Open user folder, and put the file in the plugins folder there. Start Rack again and they're in the module browser under daylight noise. It needs Rack 2.6 or newer.
In Richard Adams's Watership Down, the down stands high enough above the fields that there float up “only faint traces of the daylight noise below”: the roads, the tractors, the lorries. The rabbits call those machines hrududil.
These are machines too, and they make their noise on purpose. Patch them, play them, and let them be heard. The sky behind this page isn't yours: it's the one over daylight noise in Victoria, Australia.
These are the modules being made first. If one of them belongs in your rack, or you just want to talk about it, say hello.
