light it and step back
20 HP
Light it and a spark runs down the fuse. Where the fuse forks the spark splits, and where each branch ends a charge goes off, so one trigger becomes a cascade of them, each at its own time, with a ramp under it all and the last charge at the very end. Every fuse is a new one.
Turn a knob: drag it or tap either side of it, roll the wheel over it or use the arrow keys; a double click puts it back. LIGHT and CUT are buttons: press LIGHT to light the fuse, CUT to snuff the branch due next. The patches step on by themselves until you touch anything.

The fuses, the sparks, the charges and the lights here are FUSE's engine as it's designed, running in your browser; the clock, the drums and the pad stand in for the rest of a rack.
Press LIGHT, or send it a gate, and a spark runs down the main fuse. Where the fuse forks, the spark splits and runs on down both ways; where each branch ends, a charge goes off.
Each fuse is laid fresh: which forks it takes, and how long each branch runs, are new every time. The one laid glows faintly on the panel before you light it.
